Well hello there, hope everyone is doing well and is healthy. I wanted to share my Spring 2020 Favorite Lip Colors as a good lip color can take a basic makeup day up a notch! Spring is a great time to try new beauty items and start to create some new looks that can flow into the summer months. The winter months at times can make you forgo your beauty as your just trying to stay warm and get through the slush of snow and gloomy skies.
For Spring I’m really gravitating towards colors that bring life to my face. Formula wise liquid lip colors are my favorite thing right now. Glossy lips in the past have been something I avoided, but for some reason, I have fallen head over heels for them. I love that plump lip look and just looks so fresh. Colors that are always on trend for Spring are corals, light purples, soft pinks. For Spring 2020 lip colors bold reds, orange-reds and metallic colors are very on-trend.
Along with trying out new lip colors, I have been very intense on ensuring my lip care routine is done regularly. Winter in the Mid-West hasn’t been fun. I noticed my lips would be very dry upon waking. Increasing my water intake, exfoliating them 3-4 times a week with Elf’s Lip Exfoliator, my fav is the Brown Sugar version. Afterward, I seal with a bit of hyaluronic acid and a thick balm like Laneige Lip Sleep Mask has saved me. The worst thing to do is have chapped lips when wearing bright colors as it just looks so unflattering.
